All may not be going well in Enugu State as the leading Peoples Democratic Party in Enugu has come under frequent heavy attack by men allegedly said to be thugs from the Enugu Labour Party.
The armed men early today, Monday, 6 March, 2022 were said to have been driving in a Toyota Highlander and had blocked two Sienna busses belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party heading to Nsukka for an early meeting.
“The hoodlums who dragged the occupants of the vehicle out and gave them a thorough beating of their lives were seen shooting sporadically in the air and shouting “Damned PDP, Labour all the way” later set the two vehicles ablaze and zoomed off heading to Ugwogo-Nike Axis,” an eye witness narrated.
Just yesterday, the PDP guber candidate, Peter Mbah was attacked by thugs on his way for a church service at Ugwu-Di Nso Catholic Church leaving the press bus in the convoy badly damaged and injuring some of its occupants.
This comes barely after 6 days the senator-elect in Enugu North, Okey Ezea declared war on the PDP and Nkanu people in the state, asking the Nsukka youths to fight dirty in the forthcoming guber election in order to enthrone the Labour Party guber candidate, Chijioke Edeoga.
