A non-partisan group under the aegis of Concerned Enugu Youth Leaders has called out the embattled Enugu Labour Party guber candidate, Chijioke Edeoga and All Progressives Congress guber candidate Uchenna Nnaji for sponsoring fake news and unnecessarily creating political tensions in the state.
The group leader, Comrade Alphonsus Eneh who issued a terse statement this evening in reaction to the publication made with the name of his group and published in an shady blog cite theslidenews.com titled “Peter Mbah Vs EFCC: Enugu Youths Have Woken Up To Expectations And Responsibilities” warned the two political desperados to stop peddling fake news with their name as the group has nothing in connection with politics other than ensuring that there is youth progressiveness in all the 17 local government council of the state.
Comrade Eneh went on to remind the opposition parties that Peter Mbah’s track records of achievement in the public and private sector are a clear testament that he is going to be a transformational leader whose regime shall spark the light of unprecedented innovation in all sectors of the state.
Speaking further, he admonished Ndi Enugu to be resilient in their pursuit for a better candidate as a sure stepping stone to a better state, urging them to ignore the fraud allegation against the PDP guber candidate as President Muhammadu Buhari who recently commissioned facility had attested that Pinnacle Oil and Gas facility was not built with any ill-gotten wealth.
“I need to remind us that if President Buhari with all the top level intelligence at his disposal from multiple national security institutions could not find any reason to prove that the Pinnacle Oil and Gas facility was built with ill-gotten wealth, why then should desperate politicians with zero material evidence be so bent on making the people think otherwise if not for mere smear campaign?
We are not a political group, but we know that among the guber aspirants in Enugu, Peter Mbah is the best. This is because we haven’t seen a single track records of achievements of the guber candidates of the opposition parties. Let it be clear, our governorship seat is not for political desperados and lie peddlers”, Comrade Eneh concluded.
